She's running naked to the world. She's such a virgin to this strife. It's so complicated, but all her life she'd waited. The truth is that she'd always hated that slow suburban death. Out in the city streets tonight she hopes to find her dreams, but she may realize it's not as easy as it seems. Amidst the human jungle dreamers tend to dissipate. It may already be too late. The Amtrak pulls out of the station. Advancing towards her destination. Her body needs protection, her ego craves affection. All of this points in one direction: that slow suburban death. Out in the city streets tonight she hopes to find her dreams, but she may realise it's not as easy as it seems. Outside the Amtrak window the miles and all her dreams unwind, but she's not leaving them behind. She's leaving on that southbound train, but all her efforts are in vain.
