There was a brief ugly moment in Dragster Barbie's set. The microphone started
flaking out, and Amy futzed with it a couple of times to no avail, so she pulled
an arrogant rockstar move and thrashed the microphone to the ground. I criticized
the lead singer of the Joy Poppers for doing this at IPO. I could puss out and
let Amy off the hook, but I won't. Chill out, Amy! It might just be a flaky cable,
but if you thrash it to the floor you might break the microphone as well. To her
benefit, Amy didn't stop the show (as the Joy Poppers did), but moved over to the
other mike and kept going. They fixed the mike and the rest of the show went on
without a hitch. (Don't worry Amy, I still love db, even when Amy's evil twin Yma takes
over :-)
They finished the set with Boots again, and Amy had to behead one of the guitar pegs on her Silvertone to tune it. I guess Skipper just wasn't being cooperative. Or maybe it was equipment karma. Anyway, a lot of the pix came out really well, so enjoy - |
