After this show was booked, the manager for one of the other bands paid the club
owner off to get his band a different show time, pushing dragsterbarbie's
time back from 9 to 8:30. Thus, they chose a half-dressed theme for their
attire. Wow. I haven't seen an LA girl band look that sexy since the Gogos posed
in their underwear on the cover of BAM. I have seen The Red Hot Chili Peppers
wearing less, but I doubt we'll ever see an LA girl band wearing nothing but
socks. :-)
The lighting was way imbalanced. Amy was well lit, but Teresa was mostly in the dark and Kelly was so brightly lit that most of my pictures of her came out way over-saturated. She looks like Kelly from Mars. Thus it was hard to get a good group shot, but by using flash and moving around I got some good shots of each of them. They dedicated one of the songs to Grab Bag, who were in the audience (or at least Therese and Heatherton were), and they also played a rockin' Happy Birthday to someone. Now they're in the finals of the Born on the World Wide Web contest, so go vote for them already. enjoy - |
