Check out that sign! I guess they ran outa R's. Jeff was questioning why they didn't do "SLAVE TO HYTHM" instead.
I saw two of the four Retros sets (well 1 3/4 actually), and they were mostly cover sets, other than Soctt's song, which they played at my request (thanks guys). For the second set, Weird Al's drummer Bermuda Schwartz sat in on drums, and he was outstanding. He'd never played with them before, so he just looked down their list of covers & they'd pick one & play it. He was dead on every time: he knew all the riffs & breaks cold. The Retros regular drummer Steve is very good, but probably not that good on songs he's never practiced with them. It was amazing.
