Lisa Marr's decided to branch out from the regular punk-pop fare of her other band, Buck, and her previous band, Cub. This time she's taking a turn in the country/roots-rock direction. She's got a great new batch of songs and a bunch of new musicians (well, some old some new) to play `em with her, and they played Fais Do-Do. The style ranges from rockabilly to honky-tonk, but her songwriting style still shines through, so it's a catchy set.Lisa was wearing the clothes by the local designer Laura Howe again, so she looked ever-so-cowboy-chic. It was drummer Sherri Solinger's birthday, so some friends baked her a cake and we sang happy birthday to her during the set. Enjoy the pix - |

When I first put this page up, I negelected to include this wonderful posed shot of myself and Lisa which Steve took. I'd title it "The vices that keep us apart" |
